Calculation runs in your browser. Your bank details are not sent to our server.

Active registry: Swift IBAN Registry, Release 102.

How the IBAN calculation works

  1. Choose the country that issued the domestic account details.
  2. Enter the complete BBAN or, where supported, its registered components.
  3. The calculator validates the national structure and calculates ISO MOD 97-10 check digits.
  4. The completed IBAN is validated again before it is shown.

Frequently asked questions

What is a BBAN?

A BBAN is the national part of an IBAN. It follows the two-letter country code and two check digits, and its structure differs by country.

Does a calculated IBAN prove that an account exists?

No. A successful result proves registered format and checksum consistency only. It does not confirm the account, owner, status, or payment reachability.

Are my account details sent to a server?

No. Calculation and validation run in this browser. The complete BBAN and calculated IBAN are not sent to our server or placed in the URL.
